The Awards ceremony, hosted by M&IT on Monday 5th March, brought together the great and good of the events, meetings and travel industry to recognise achievements and reward excellence.
 
The M&IT Magazine Personality of the Year is a special award determined by personal nominations from industry peers and as such, it is both highly coveted and regarded.
 
Martin Lewis, Editor of M&IT magazine, said, ‘This year over 44 people were nominated, Richard received a large number of nominations from a diverse selection of individuals, and notably from both buyers and suppliers. This indicates the level of respect felt for him within the industry, from both his competitors and peers’.

The award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the meetings and events industry as a whole; one who has helped to increase its professionalism, visibility and reputation, irrespective of their own personal or financial gain.
